Our editorial process

We list services we believe may be helpful. Affiliate relationships do not influence which services we include or how we present them. If a service is worth listing but has no affiliate programme, we include it anyway.

Services appear on Unmortgageable based on their relevance and reputation, not commission rates. We are not authorised or regulated by the FCA and do not provide regulated financial advice.

Our regulatory position

Unmortgageable is published by SaaSquatch Ltd, which is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Where we link to a mortgage broker or lender, we are acting as an introducer only, in reliance on the exemption at Article 33 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Regulated Activities) Order 2001. Under that exemption, our role is limited to making users aware of authorised firms. We do not give advice on the merits of any product, arrange deals, or handle consumer money.

Our articles and guides are published as educational journalism and are not intended to be financial promotions within the meaning of section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000. We rely on the journalism exemption at Article 20 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Financial Promotion) Order 2005.
